DNA Export plugin

DNA Export plugin allows export of DNA and protein sequences to FASTA, CSV formats. Also it allows exporting multiple sequences to CLUSTAL format.

Usage examples:

Export sequences to CLUSTAL:

Let's suppose we want to interpret FASTA file with several sequences as multiple alignment. To do this, select a single or multiple sequence objects in 'Project' window and click "Export->Export to CLUSTAL" context menu item:
Export sequence objects to FASTA
After clicking the menu a dialog will appear, where you can point the result alignment file location

Export sequences to FASTA:

Select a single or multiple sequence objects in 'Project' window and click "Export->Export to FASTA" context menu item:
Export sequence objects to FASTA
After clicking the menu a dialog will appear:
Export sequence objects to FASTA dialog
where you can point the result FASTA file location and select whether merge selected sequences into a single sequence or store them as separate sequences.

You can choose to add newly created document to project.

If you merge the sequences, you're allowed to select a 'Gap length'. This is the length of the insertion region between sequences that contain 'N' symbols for nucleic or 'X' for protein sequences.

Export multiple alignment to FASTA:

Select a single object with sequence alignment in 'Project' window and click "Export->Export to FASTA" context menu item:
Export alignments to FASTA
After clicking the menu a dialog will appear:
Export alignments to FASTA dialog
where its possible to specify the result FASTA file location and if to keep or remove gaps ('-' chars) in aligned sequences

Export sequence selection to FASTA:

Open a sequence object in sequence view and select a region by pressing and moving left mouse button over the sequence.

Use "Export->Export sequence selection to FASTA" popup menu item to save selection into FASTA file.

The same dialog as in 'Example 1' will appear to select the name of the FASTA file.

Export annotation selection to FASTA or CSV:

Open a sequence view with document that contains annotations. A good candidate here could be any file in Genbank format with both sequence and annotations.

Select annotations or groups of annotations in a list.
Now if you choose "Export->Export annotation selection to FASTA" in context menu, the same dialog as in example "Export sequences to FASTA" will appear.

If you choose "Export->Export annotation selection to CSV" in context menu, this dialog will appear:

Here you can set the path to CSV file and optionaly save sequence along with annotations.
